Seashell

I speak to you in ocean,
you pull upon my shore
I call to you in lighthouse fog
you pull back even more.

I heard the tales of whale song
your name upon their sound
when I hoist my sails up
seagulls caw back aloud.

Upon horizons
where distant lands tease the sea
a bluish haze of promises
we sail toward destinies.

Separated by winds and waters blue,
by vessels and empty pairs,
our song continues through natures breath
as solace never dares

Let the storms brew, the fires burn,
the ocean churn and smoke spew
Whilst no one waits we move
flow and ebb as graceful dancers do

Look to the sky and follow the hearts beat
to where the sun burns brightest
Here where our paths again meet
time like water falls away as we kiss
